LAST WINTER’s upcoming release “The Heart & the Broken Compass” sees the Orlando, FL rock act reintroducing themselves. Four years in the making, the latest record marks a new beginning for the band. Their first record with new singer Ian Dempsey,

“The Heart & the Broken Compass” takes the band’s signature melodic style and adds some sharper edges to it. Following 2007’s “Under the Silver of Machines”, the band went through major changes and came to grips with many emotional challenges. Now stronger and more focused than ever, Last Winter has reemerged with a record that showcases and channels the full spectrum of emotion.

After a successful tour of Japan in 2010, the band looks forward to more promise and passion in 2011 with “The Heart & the Broken Compass”.

After two years in-between rehearsal room, shows, being on tour and pre-production we finally managed to get our third album ready to launch. It’s named “Carnival Cadavre” and will be tested in human experiment at the Summer Breeze Festival in Dinkelsbühl on August 19th 2011 for the first time. Once again we produced our album with Corni Bartels at the Weltraum Studios and Björn Goosses (Killustrations) again purified our disc with a stunning artwork.

We added another fine portion of groove and brutality for you and showed once again what Hackneyed is made of. With our new label Lifeforce Records we found the matching partner and we’re really looking forward to our future cooperation. At the core, PLANKS' approach is evenly influenced by groups like His Hero is Gone and From Ashes Rise, yet integrates crushing tones fans of Neurosis will cling to and even straightforward black n' roll-ish sounds one may attribute to Darkthrone. Their surging hardcore/punk power chords are forcefully accented by dissonant melodies.

Smash Fabric Records proudly announces the signing of Angertea, a Hungarian experimental metal band, on a distribution contract involving minimum two albums and one EP.

The previously released album Twenty-Eight Ways To Bleed will be re-released 29th June 2011, Distrust EP will be released 16th July 2011, and one new album is scheduled for release September 2012. They will be available from iTunes.

Angertea was formed back in 1996 and they have released three full-length albums, which have been published in Hungary. They are influenced by bands like Deftones, Alice In Chains, Tool and Meshuggah, and of course Hungarian folk music. In 2010, they were discovered by Grammy-winner-producer, Neil Kernon (Queensryche, Cannibal Corpse, Peter Gabriel, Judas Priest, amongst others), and the forthcoming EP was mixed by him.

British industrial metal pioneers GODFLESH have confirmed a headlining show at the HMV Forum in London, UK, on June 16th.

GODFLESH made their first UK appearance in over ten years at last year's Supersonic Festival in the band's hometown of Birmingham, where the group were one of the headlining acts. Now, GODFLESH are returning to London for their first headlining appearance in the city since 1999, with GOATSNAKE and D.R.I. also appearing as special guests.

GODFLESH founding member JUSTIN BROADRICK comments:

"We are excited to be playing our first GODFLESH London headline show since 1999! In fact, the last time GODFLESH headlined London as originally intended - two men and machines - was around 1995. We hope our bleak sound and performance impacts like it did some years ago."

Blisteringly heavy both musically and thematically, vocalist Trevor Phipps comments: "'Watch It Burn' is the lead track from Darkness In The Light because we felt it captured the aggression and heaviness of the album while also staying true to our core sound from our earlier records. This is one of the only tunes without a guitar solo, but the harmonies are there to mix around one of the heaviest choruses we've ever written. The song is angry, fast and in-your-face while also allowing for a melodic bridge late in the song much like some of our older material. Lyrically, it is an anti-extremist song. It attacks both the left and right of the political spectrum while also calling into question extremist religious groups and their influence on our culture. All these political and religious extremists seem to manage to do is splinter society and turn people against each other that otherwise likely wouldn't be at odds. Basically we can put aside some meager differences and work to better ourselves or we can keep heading down this destructive path and eventually 'Watch It Burn.'"
