Not only did Fursy Teyssier discover Arctic Plateau for Prophecy Productions in 2008, he also created the artwork for their debut album “On A Sad Sunny Day” in the year after. What’s more, he and Gianluca Divirgilio from Arctic Plateau have since become close friends. As a token of this friendship and as a harbinger for the sophomore albums (to be released in the near future) by Arctic Plateau and Les Discrets, a strictly limited split EP of both projects is going to be released soon on vinyl and as a double CD. Apart from one song each from the two imminent albums, this EP is going to feature exclusive tracks from both groups. Further information on this release to follow soon.
Fursy: “Gianluca is the kind of rare person I feel extremely close to even if we have met only one time. Artistically and musically, Arctic Plateau is part of the music that really moves me incredibly, and I also think there are huge connections between our respective music. Sharing this split is a step forward to our future collaboration …”
Gianluca: “I see Les Discrets’ music as a special framework, a dark watercolour of illusions and reality. Fursy is a good friend and a brilliant person. We share the same artistic vision, and we are careful to preserve our artistic identity. Music has no time, music has no space, but here we go, here and now, for ourselves, for you all.”
