Well-established Czech progressive/power metal band Ascendancy took on new members at the beginning of 2013 and recently released brand new single – a cover version of legendary Czech metal band Arakain’s song “Vir” (The Virus), which is available to watch at YouTube. This record was released for the thirtieth anniversary of formation of the band, and is sung in Czech, accordingly.
Ascendancy is going on club tour in the Czech Republic at the beginning of March this year together with its affiliated band Abstract Essence. The repertoire will consist of songs from the debut record, which featured Marco Sfogli (James LaBrie) and Tomas Englund (Evergrey) as guests, as well as from the upcoming record.
The tour consists of nine concerts performed throughout Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia.
