Dutch Doom Death Metal pioneers ASPHYX are soon to released their newest album “Deathhammer” via longtime partners Century Media Records on February 27th, 2012 (Europe) and February 28th, 2012 (North America). Here are the different formats for this highly anticipated release:

AS far as the live-situation, ASPHYX have confirmed another string of shows in the previous weeks. Next to adding a second “Deathhammer” album release show for The Netherlands on March 9th at Arnhem’s “Willemeen” venue together with The 11th Hour (CD release show as well!) and Nailgun Masssacre, ASPHYX have announced shows in Romania, Portugal and Greece as well.

ASPHYX’s previously announced “Deathhammer” record release show on Saturday March 10th, 2012 at the “Turock” venue in Essen, Germany, with support by SONNE ADAM (Israel), BLIZZARD (Germany) and NECROWRETCH (France) is said to be selling tickets quickly, so better hurry up and grab your access to this special night of Death Metal (incl. aftershow Death Metal DJ-set, etc.). The pre-sale is made via Konticket.de and Eventim.de. Original hardtickets are available from Yeah-Records in Essen as well as from the venue later. More details via www.turock.de

Previously, ASPHYX had launched the devastating title track of the upcoming album “Deathhammer” to be checked out online here.

Recorded at The Mörser Studio as well as at Harrow Studio with engineer Harry Wijering, “Deathhammer” was mixed and mastered in Sweden by Dan Swanö, who previously worked with the band on their “Death…The Brutal Way” studio album release from 2009 as well as on the “Live Death Doom” live / DVD release from 2010. Longtime design partner of the band, Axel Hermann (http://www.axel-illustrator.de), has once more provided the powerful artwork.
