Dutch Doom Death Metal pioneers ASPHYX are soon to release their newest album „Deathhammer” via longtime partners Century Media Records on February 27th, 2012 (Europe) and February 28th, 2012 (North America). To further wet the appetite for this upcoming masterpiece, ASPHYX have now released a special 7″ EP entitled „Reign Of The Brute„, available via the CM Distro online with the following content and strict limitation:

In related news, ASPHYX have just announced an extremely special „Deathhammer” record release show concert for Saturday March 10th, 2012 at the „Turock” venue (www.turock.de) in Essen, Germany, where the band has previously launched their latest release and also filmed the legendary sold-out show for their „Live Death Doom” release.

Recorded at The Mörser Studio as well as at Harrow Studio with engineer Harry Wijering, „Deathhammer” was mixed and mastered in Sweden by Dan Swanö, who previously worked with the band on their „Death…The Brutal Way” studio album release from 2009 as well as on the „Live Death Doom” live / DVD release from 2010.
