Hot News: Batillus – Studio Diary Brought To You By Decibel Magazine; New Track Posted

Today Decibel Magazine hosts the first of a two-part studio diary series from Brooklyn avant industrial doom derelicts, BATILLUS. The band has been holed-up at Sound Generation Studios in New York City with production wizard Sanford Parker recording their second full-length entitled Concrete Sustain. The follow-up to 2011’s critically lauded Furnace long player, which Metal Underground recommended for fans of “massive riffs and being crushed to death in slow motion,” is slated to detonate this March via Seventh Rule Recordings. Further details to be announced in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, check out some tales from the control room at THIS LOCATION.

You can also watch the band ravage souls at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar earlier last month sharing the stage with Nachtmystium, Mutilation Rites and Lord Mantis with new track “Mirrors” below:

Commented BrooklynVegan of the performance: “BATILLUS carried through that same noisy sensibility, with frontman Fade Kainer’s harsh vocals, manipulated to a point where they could have been confused as something inhuman and otherworldly. The band’s industrial sensibility lent an edge to their doom-influence dirges and, while slower than all the other bands on the bill, made BATILLUS equally brutal as next band Mutilation Rites’ most unforgiving riff.”
