Fears Driven to Insanity is the first single, out of the EP “Danger” edited by Burn of Black and distributed by SweetPoison Records and Red cat, with which the band wants to firmly enter into the modern metal scenario.
The song expresses the ancestral suggestion that fear and madness imply, talking about how normality and its extension are often social trends and ideas, rather than matter of facts.
These aspects are clearly determined by aggressive and frenetic rhythmic which define since the very first shots an instant and well delineated impact.
The research of a gloomy and anguishing location was meant to wrap the band into a general feeling of loneliness and melancholy. On the other hand, the rapid and frequent changes of shots and visuals increase the effect of agitation and instability.
On purpose, it was chosen not to work too much in post-processing as well as keeping the scenery quite poor, minimal and without artificial effects (e.g. fire and flames, explosions, electric flashes etc) in order to highlight at most the sense of claustrophobia. Following the same line stands the choice of not using a heavy “cinema effect”; this way the dynamism is reigning at most, as it is an integrating part of the discomfort expressed in Fears Driven to Insanity.
