While other bands take a break in order to concentrate on writing a new album Germany’s CALIBAN went straight into the studio after a fantastic run of summer festivals to record their upcoming album „Ghost Empire” which is due to be released January 27th, 2014. Yet again the album was produced by guitarist Marc Görtz in cooperation with Benny Richter.
In order to wrap up the „I Am Nemesis” cycle and say „Thank you!” to all their fans and supporters CALIBAN have teamed up with Metal Hammer Germany and muzu.tv to launch a band new video clip for the song „This Oath„, check it out here: www.metal-hammer.de. The video was produced by SH Videography / www.shvideography.de and will hopefully shorten the wait for their new album „Ghost Empire”.
Patrick Grün (drums): „We have a bunch of great news from camp Caliban: We are currently in the studio recording our upcoming album ‘Ghost Empire’ which will be out end of January. I can assure you, the new songs kick ass! After a run of amazing festivals such as Novarock, Greenfield, Graspop Metal Meeting, Pukkelpop, With Full Force and many more we are happy to present you another special treat: our new video for ‘This Oath’. There are also two very last festivals that are wrapping up the live cycle for ‘I Am Nemesis’ and who knows, we might even thrash out some new tunes. A massive ‘thank you!’ for the amazing support for ‘I Am Nemesis’!”
Marc Görtz (guitar): „We are almost done with the recordings and are doing the fine tunings on all the songs. This week we finished tracking the vocals and are adding the final guitars now. We couldn´t be happier with the result! The new material follows the same direction we took with ‘I Am Nemesis’ but in a more consequent and intense way, with some new influences added. The pressure was pretty high after the success of ‘I Am Nemesis’, but we are a band that actually works best under pressure. Hence we were and are working very hard to come up with an even better album.”
