San Francisco’s Deafheaven just announced they’ll be touring North America this November with experimental post-rock trio Russian Circles. George Clarke, Deafheaven’s vocalist, commented, “Very excited to release the news of this tour. Looking forward to being on the road again, especially with a band who we all really respect and enjoy. It’s a perfect way to end what has been a great year. See you then.” More tour dates will be announced soon, but the routing as it stands now is posted below.
Deafheaven have been turning heads since the release of their Deathwish debut, Roads to Judah, last April. The album has seen rave reviews from print and online publications (“a welcome evolution of metal that crushes and inspires in equal measures” – Philadelphia Weekly, “unites shoegazers and metalheads on dark, sorrowful and chaotic ground” – Youindie.com) and the band has been seen in magazines like Decibel, Metal Hammer, Hails & Horns and many more. Most recently, Deafheaven toured across the US with KEN Mode in support of the release and played highly coveted sets at festivals like Sound & Fury (California) and Within These Walls (Arizona).
