The new album „Unleashed” of EMERALD will be released officially worldwide on 24th of August 2012.
The Swiss band EMERALD now exists for 17 years and in the meantime they have produced 5 albums. They are known and appreciated for their trend-free, speedy Power Metal, rather melodic and powerful and with high vocals. Now, two years have passed since their last studio-album “Re-Forged”, which means: it’s time for something new!
Their new album “Unleashed” (playing time ca. 45 minutes) seems to be more in the direction of US-Metal. Not only because guest-vocalist George Call (ASKA, Ex-OMEN) joins the band with “Eye of the Serpent”. But now and then there are also some songs which are more like European Power Metal, which fit in very well with the US-Metal parts. In this production the guitars are more powerful than ever before. The band’s new vocalist Thomas Winkler (with EMERALD since “Re-Forged”) has developed his voice and thus proves that he can compete with the band’s former singer Jvo Julmy.
