Recently returned from successful headlining touring runs in Europe throughout September (with support by labelmates Wolf) as well as all over North America in October (with support by Arsis, White Wizzard and Nightrage), Greek melodic metallers FIREWIND are now announcing the final live-shows for the touring cycle of their current and highly praised “Days Of Defiance” album, originally released in September 2010 via Century Media Records.
For the final dates of their world tour, FIREWIND return to their native Greece for 2 long awaited headline shows. The dates are as follows:

FIREWIND leader and also Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G. is right now touring Japan with an extensive run of guitar-clinics, but has nevertheless checked in to give an update on FIREWIND and the band’s writing process for an upcoming studio album as follows: „Lots of exciting things are happening in our camp these days! We’ve just finished our headline tours in Europe and N. America and we’ve been finishing up the writing on our next album, which we’re VERY excited about! We’re about to enter the studio to record our new opus, which in my opinion easily surpasses our previous works! More on that later though…
We’ve just announced the final 2 shows of our „Days Of Defiance” World Tour and they’re in our home country. We’ll be visiting the city of Ioannina for the first time, as I’m aware we’ve got legions of loyal fans there. The time has come for these people to witness the Fire & the Fury!
And we’ll end this with a headline show in Athens. Although we supported the Scorpions in 2010 and Judas Priest earlier this summer, we’ve not played a full set for our Athenian fans since January 2009! That will mark 3 long years! We’re sorry for the delay, but this show will make up for all this time, ‘cause we plan to present you some of our new songs of our forthcoming album!! You DON’T wanna miss this, so better be there!”
