With “The Flood Inside” LONG DISTANCE CALLING stepped out of pure instrumental rock and are introducing their new vocalist Martin „Marsen“ Fischer, who did vocals for three out of the eight songs on the album. On “Welcome Change” Vincent Cavanagh (Anathema) and Petter Carlsen took over the vocal duties at the invitation of the band, but in addition to the aforementioned artists they have a whole number of guests on the album: The German blues guitarist Henrik Freischlader or Jahcoozi-mastermind Robot Koch (who previously worked with the likes of Casper, Max Mutzke or Marteria). Additionally you can hear Tuneverse cofounder Alex Komlew and Mario Cullmann (formerly known as DJ Coolman for Fünf Sterne Deluxe). “We have never bowed down to any rules for what you may or may not do as an instrumental band. It is only us making the rules.”
