We congratulate MÄRVEL on position 33 in the influential UK Classic Rock Magazine’s list of „Albums of the Year – 2011’s essential records”!
Sweden’s rock n’roll superheroes Märvel released their third album ”Warhawks of War” in April this year. The band and the album gained a LOT of attention in Sweden with reviews being published in basically all important media there is. It also lead to full page articles being published in around 30 morning papers all around Sweden and the first single “Blood Harmony” being on rotation on Swedish National Radio P3 (the most important radio channel) for 23 weeks, as well as on a lot of college radio stations. The single was also added to the playlist of 50 college radio stations. Märvel did a lot of gigs all around Sweden including big clubs in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo, and in Europe they did a tour that saw them conquering clubs in Germany, France and Spain.
“Warhawks of War” was just included in the extremely influential UK mag Classic Rock Magazine rock bible list “Albums of the Year – 2011’s essential records” that lists all important releases from all over the world, and Märvel took position 33. Märvel was featured in the magazine upon the release of the album, with an article and also on the CD that was included with that issue, with the track “Hello!”. Right now negotiations with festivals in Sweden are being done, and finalized is the big and very important rock festival Muskelrock 2012.
