GORGUTS
After the return of SETH a couple weeks ago, Season of Mist has to express the joy of seeing one more band rejoin the fold: welcome back GORGUTS! The staff is thrilled to have the Canadian technical death metal band back on the roster, 13 years after the release of cult classic ‘From Wisdom to Hate’.
“It is with great joy that I announce the return of GORGUTS to Season of Mist!”, mastermind Luc Lemay comments. “Things have not always been easy these last couple of years, but now it’s all behind us and all I can say is that I’m more than eager to share this new record with all of you. Our forthcoming album will be a very detailed, dark, epic, emotional, conceptual record and Season of Mist was my first choice to be the standard-bearer for this new GORGUTS opus and I must say that I am more than happy to work with them again.

CHAOSTAR
After a long wait, it is now time to unveil the title of the new CHAOSTAR album! The Greek band’s forthcoming fourth opus is entitled ‘Anomima’ and will hit the stores on May 10th (May 14th in North America).

DISPERSE
Polish progressive metallers DISPERSE recently shot a video clip for the song „Enigma of Abode” (from forthcoming album ‘Living Mirrors’) with Red Pig Productions (DECAPITATED). The video is being premiered on Violent Solutions and Lords of Metal now!
‘Living Mirrors’ sees the band creating instantly memorable songs that balance amazing technical skills with elegance and passion. The dynamic sextet make it all look easy as they inject their own style into a modern take on intelligent, progressive metal and rock.

THE OLD DEAD TREE
THE OLD DEAD TREE is growing back to life! To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album ‘The Nameless Disease’, the French goth metallers decided to stream demos of that iconic release on Soundcloud. Here are the links:

Still in the wake of 2011’s highly successful ‘Svartir Sandar’ album, Iceland’s very own SÓLSTAFIR will embark on a European tour next month with LONG DISTANCE CALLING. ROTTING CHRIST
Black metal masters ROTTING CHRIST have debuted the title track off of their forthcoming album, ‘ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ’ (“Do What Thou Wilt”). “Kata Ton Daimona Eaftou” is streaming now at MetalManiacs.com.
‘ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ’ personifies the legendary Greek band’s profound and majestic metal, which honors both their country’s heritage as well as ancient cultures worldwide. On ‘ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ’, ROTTING CHRIST embellish their signature dark metal with Sumerian and Incan poetry and as well as flourishes from Romanian folk song, and lyrics inspired by tales of undead Russian water spirits, Voodoo, Zoroastrianism and other sources.
Founder/Guitarist/Frontman Sakis Tolis revealed in an interview with Soundshock.com: „I’m very satisfied with this new album. I find it is very important for me to have a unique sound – [ROTTING CHRIST] doesn’t want to sound like anyone else. You are going to read a lot of different lyrics in different languages-strange and ancient languages; it’s something different…”

Infamous New York City street punks THE CASUALTIES have announced their first U.S. headlining dates of 2013. The band will co-headline a string of southern and west coast dates with GOATWHORE in March and April. Additional support will come from HAVOK. The band recently completed an extensive European headlining tour that took them through ten countries over three weeks.
THE CASUALTIES are touring in support of their latest album, ‘Resistance’ (released by Season of Mist September 2012). The Zeuss-produced effort is available on Bandcamp, and on Season of Mist’s e-shop as CD, limited edition LP (with bonus track and download card) and limited edition Digibox including the CD with a bonus track, bandana, bottle opener and patch.
HOLY SHEEP
Nope, that’s not a band Season of Mist signed! Just the once will not hurt, Season of Mist would like to present a video game named Holy Sheep. Why are we talking about it? Well, because one of the developers is none other than our former graphic designer Jérôme Cros (the man who created the artwork of ROTTING CHRIST’s previous album ‘Aealo’, among others), and because the music was written by Fixhead (ex TAMTRUM), who also happens to work at Season of Mist!
A platform video game, Holy Sheep is available on the AppStore and on Google Play.
