Season of Mist just inked a deal with progressive metallers DISPERSE! The Polish band’s sophomore album, which title is yet to be unveiled, should hit the stores some time next year.
“I’m so happy that this album is finally finished”, guitarist Jakub Żytecki comments. “I started to write some of the very first songs almost three years ago. As a band, we had a lot of ups and downs during that time, but thanks to help of our families and friends, we could push the things forward and finish what we’d started. Anyway, there was something that we had to change. We had to say goodbye to two of our members and take new people on board to create fresh and inspiring vibes in the band. Marcin & Przemek – thanks for the past. Maciej, Daniel, Wojtek – thanks for the future! Signing with Season of Mist is a really promising step in DISPERSE’s career. We can’t wait to see where our common journey will take us! Thanx Michael and Co for your appreciation and support!”

THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT
Dutch metallers THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT recently started recording their upcoming studio album and issued the following update:
“Last month, THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT have entered the studio to record their fourth full-length album “Tetragrammaton”, the successor to the immensely popular “Trivmvirate”. Since 2008 – when we redefined art, music and human civilisation – we’ve been milking “Trivmvirate” until it’s cheese, so we decided to make a new album and see if we can milk that even further. Song titles set to appear on the new album include “Human Wave Attack”, “Drugs, Thugs & Machetes”, “Todesnacht von Stammheim”, “Quasr Al-Nihaya” and “Aslimu!!! – All Slain Those Who Brought Down Our Highly Respected Symbols To The Lower Status Of The Barren Earth”. The overall lyrical theme will be roughly the same as on “Trivmvirate” and “The White Crematorium” (2005); but then again, who cares about lyrical themes in Death Metal?
“Also, hailing back from an unsurprisingly failed attempt to make ‘proper grown-up music’, synthmeister Carsten Altena has sheepishly returned to the Deathcult flock as a full band member and will contribute much wailing and gnashing of teeth both on “Tetragrammaton” and live on-stage.”
As on “Trivmvirate”, mixing duties will be handled by Guido Aalbers. “Tetragrammaton” is set to be released in the first half of 2013.
