The band issued the following statement: „We are honoured and proud to be part of the Season of Mist team among prestigious names such as THE CHARIOT, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, KYLESA, MORBID ANGEL and many more! The whole SOM crew is working with heart and dedication, so our very first album „Skinandteethandnails” couldn’t be in better hands… We are very excited about all this and we can’t wait to get in the van and hit the road!”

A LIFE ONCE LOST
A LIFE ONCE LOST’s new track, ‘Madness is God’, now has a new lyric video to go with it! The video can be viewed on YouTube. Cut from forthcoming album „Ecstatic Trance”, the track is the first single off of the album which is due October 22nd in North America and internationally on November 16th.
The band has also revealed the album art for „Ecstatic Trance”, illustrated by Brian Baker.
„Ecstatic Trance” will be released as limited edition Digipak, gatefold LP and CD. Both the Digipak and the LP include a KILLING JOKE cover as bonus track. Pre-orders will start on Season of Mist’s e-shop very soon!
HELL MILITIA

Recorded in Germany’s SOS Studio (SECRETS OF THE MOON, ASCENSION), „Jacob’s Ladder” delivers eight stunning tracks of disturbing Black Metal. Now their third full-length „Jacob’s Ladder” bursts unto the world like a black supernova. The French masterfully achieve a unification of old school values such as a harsh and fierce yet accessible songwriting with the new dissonant and ruptured sound which is especially explored in their homeland by bands like DEATHSPELL OMEGA or BLUT AUS NORD. This comes as no surprise as members of HELL MILITIA are also active in bands such as ARKHON INFAUSTUS, SECRETS OF THE MOON or TEMPLE OF BAAL.
RAGE NUCLÉAIRE
As previously announced, RAGE NUCLÉAIRE’s debut album is entitled „Unrelenting Fucking Hatred”. Thrust by the vocals of former CRYPTOPSY frontman Lord Worm, this raw manifesto of Black Metal has been scheduled for an October 19th release (November 6th in North America).

OFERMOD
On this very day, Season of Mist unleashes Swedish Black Metal act OFERMOD’s debut, „Mystérion Tés Anomias”, for the first time in North America. Originally recorded in 1998, this EP also includes two songs from 2004.
OFERMOD is a name that people within the underground Black Metal scene pronounce with respect and in awe. Much of the current Swedish Black Metal sound, as heralded by bands such as WATAIN, finds its origin in the early works of OFERMOD. The abyssal atmosphere, the sinister chord progressions, the violent and commanding drumming, a depraved demonlike voice – all of the above is OFERMOD’s genuine trademark.

FUNERAL MIST
Today also sees the releases of two classics from Sweden’s FUNERAL MIST, namely „Devilry” and „Salvation”.
„Devilry” features not only the complete recording of the 1998 EP, including the originally vinyl-only „Hellspell 2” bonus song, but also the „Havoc” demo from 1996. The early days of FUNERAL MIST were placed under the sign of a ferocious and vicious Black Metal, yet always underlined by a sick sense for the unexpected. Song structures, melodies and vocal patterns, yes, even a drum solo, make the „Devilry” and „Havoc” sessions stand out then as much as today: FUNERAL MIST was born under the doomed star of unmistakable uniqueness.

„Salvation” was recorded 2001 at the Necromorbus studio and is certainly one of the most genre-defining releases by producer (and, at the time, FUNERAL MIST drummer) Tore Stjerna. The sound replicates the radical essence of a record that was meant to push the boundaries of Black Metal, the limits of which is solely the unique and twisted vision of mastermind Arioch (also current frontman of Swedish Black Metal pioneers MARDUK under the name Mortuus). „Salvation” set new standards in terms of riffing, use of samples, musical violence, lyrical perversion – truth be told, in most aspects. A decade later it is still as revolutionary and challenging, proving that it is by all means a record of historical relevance.
