SAINT VITUS
Season of Mist is proud to welcome Doom legends SAINT VITUS to the roster! The band just completed their eighth studio album, their first since 1995. SAINT VITUS is now made of guitarist Dave Chandler, drummer Henry Vasquez, bassist Mark Adams and seminal vocalist Scott „Wino” Weinrich, who recorded his first album with the band in over 20 years!
„Making this album was really a blast”, Dave Chandler comments. „Being able to live in an environment where all we had to concentrate on was the new material, became very inspiring. And along with our new drummer Henry Vasquez and label Season of Mist, this record has given us a new opportunity to show everyone that we still have more to shove in your face”.

MORBID ANGEL
On next February 24th (28th in North America), Season of Mist will release a compilation of remixed tracks from MORBID ANGEL’s latest album, „Illud Divinum Insanus”. Far from being just revamped versions of the seminal extreme metal band’s newest songs, this collection will present the work of 39 artists from the electro / industrial, techno and club scene.

British doomsters ESOTERIC’s new album is entitled „Paragon of Dissonance” and will hit the stores this Friday (next Tuesday in the US). The whole album will be available for streaming on Finnish website www.kaaoszine.fi for a week, starting tomorrow!

KELLS
As announced recently, French female-fronted act KELLS named their forthcoming album „Anachromie”. This sonic blast of modern Metal has been scheduled for a January 20th, 2012 release and the first pressing will include a bonus DVD with nearly one hour of documentaries, video clips, rehearsals and „how to play” videos.

FAIR TO MIDLAND
We are sorry to announce that FAIR TO MIDLAND had to cancel their November tour as opening act for EVANESCENCE in Europe. Here is a statement from the band:
„After 7 amazing years of playing with Fair To Midland, our bassist Jon Dicken has decided it was time for him to move on. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to the band, we love him, and wish him the best in all his future endeavors. Moving forward, we are excited to continue touring and making music. However, this has unfortunately resulted in the cancellation of our European dates in November. We want to send our sincerest apologies to our European friends and fans. We will be regrouping in the following weeks and in the mean time thank you all for your patience, understanding and support at this time.”
On a better note, since last Friday you can download a digital single for the „Amarillo Sleeps on My Pillow” song, with two exclusive live tracks as B sides. One of them was previously unreleased and the other was previously only available in North America. Get it on iTunes!
ETHS
Still hard at work in the studio, ETHS issued the following update:
„Hi everyone! We are currently in Sweden and despite the overwhelming cold here, all drums parts have been recorded! Actually we are already at the next step: guitars.”
„So here we are”, drummer Yom comments. „Everything that needed to be struck, spanked or destroyed has been taken care of. In other words, drums and percussion are in the box and it sounds MF big. Next: guitars. Rock on! „

SÓLSTAFIR
SÓLSTAFIR’s new album „Svartir Sandar” entered the Icelandic album sales charts, ranking at number 12! In Finland, it also reached number 11 in the independent record store charts and number 41 in the national charts. Congratulations, guys!
On other news, SÓLSTAFIR are currently working on a video for new song „Fjara”, which will actually be more like a short film than a music video. It features Icelandic singer/actress Rebekka Kolbeinsdóttir with American director Bowen Staines, who has worked for National Geographic among others, and Icelandic co-director Gunnar „Gussi” Guðbjörnsson who already worked with the band. The video will ready before the end of November.
All formats of „Svartir Sandar”, including the limited box set with double digipak, M/F t-shirt, shot glasses and ice-cube tray, are now available on Season of Mist’s e-shop.
