Sound of Contact have officially released their debut concept album ‘Dimensionaut’ this week, and the band just wrapped up their first tour in Europe as part of the InsideOut Music 20th Anniversary shows with Spock’s Beard and Beardfish.
The band’s first ever live show was at the Marillion convention in Montreal, Canada and they are pleased to reveal a live video from said performance of the instrumental track ‘Cosmic Distance Ladder’. Check that out here: http://youtu.be/7t1U3rFjQu8
Commenting on the albums release, the band had this to say:
„The release of our debut album „Dimensionaut” is a proud moment we’ve been looking forward to.” says Simon Collins vocalist/drummer of Sound of Contact „We’re so excited to be sharing the music and concept of this album with the world and look forward to bringing it to life on stage everywhere.”
Dave Kerzner, keyboardist for Sound of Contact adds „We’re also pleased to announce the release of another music video, „Cosmic Distance Ladder”. The video incorporates live footage from our „First Contact” show in Montreal at the Marillion Weekend event. The audio is from the instrumental studio track off our album „Dimensionaut”. It was shot and edited by Tim Sidwell.”
The band also recently released their debut music video for the first single taken from the album entitled ‘Not Coming Down’. The clip has received a brilliant reaction, and you can see what all the fuss is about at the following link: http://youtu.be/d8TGFsLXoRo
