The KillerHertz, comprised of experienced musicians from the Copenhagen underground scene, are ready to hit center stage with their lethal debut release A Killer Anthem!
Four childhood friends, who spent the years roaming the Copenhagen underground rock- and metal scene in bands such as Saturnus, Pitchblack and Usipian, have now teamed up to form a new shooting star of contemporary, Danish rock – The KillerHertz!
It seemed like destiny back in 2011, when four friends from way back decided to reunite and find their way back to the core of rock music. With inspirations ranging from the late 80’s, early 90’s heavy metal sound to some of the classic, Danish rock pioneers such as Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Volbeat, The KillerHertz are now ready to unleash their deadly debut effort A Killer Anthem.
A Killer Anthem was recorded in 2012 in the heart of Copenhagen, and mixed and mastered by legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen, who rose to prominence in the 80’s as the man behind the sound of mighty Metallica. The lyrics of the album delves deeply into the personality of lead singer Thomas Pedersen (ex-Usipian, ex-Pitchblack), who with deep felt honesty shares his experiences with personal crisis, lost love, the passing of immediate family and the becoming of fatherhood. A Killer Anthem is in no way merely just an introverted album – it also screams with attitude and outgoingness appealing to just about every modern rock fan.
A Killer Anthem is available on CD and digital through Mighty Music May 26th 2014!
