Unconventionally sounding experimental/progressive trio THE MOTH GATHERER is offering a free download of their unreleased song. The download in question is the band’s track from „A Bright Celestial Light” album sessions, which has not seen the light of day yet – neither on CD nor LP. The song is titled „Ascend” and can be accessed through „liking” the group’s profile at Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/
Recently, the band announced a new line-up member, Svante Karlsson (leftmost in the picture), who will take care of drums and guitars. With plans to focus on a new record in nearest future, co-founding member Alex Stjernfeldt commented: „Svante joined The Moth Gatherer to complete the line-up and to bring a sonic groove to the drums. We have known eachother for a long time and we felt that we all would benefit from working together. So now, we will start the work on our follow-up to „A Bright Celestial Light.”
THE MOTH GATHERER is recommended for fans of music in the vein of Neurosis, Pelican, Breach and Cult of Luna. „We just want our music to be an emotional explosion” – comments the band. „A lot of the songs is about death, missing people you loved who have passed away and losing hope in mankind. We want the music to make you feel like you can move mountains with it. I wish for that when people hear our recording, they start to dream away.”
