TRUE WIDOW, the Dallas trio who create highly textural, melodic and bone-chilling shoegaze, is streaming “Four Teeth,” a new song from the upcoming album Circumambulation via NPR.
“’Four Teeth’ rattles like a heavier bummer jam from Neil Young’s Zuma, complete with one-string guitar solos,” says NPR’s Lars Gotrich, going on to add: “True Widow’s stoner-rock and shoegaze mix (dubbed „stonegaze,” of course) trudges with back-breaking heft. It’s actually perfect music for hiking — tough and determined, yet as hypnotic as the rhythmic crunch of dead leaves beneath your feet.”
The band is currently streaming “HW:R,” another new song from Circumambulation July 19 (Benelux, GAS, Finland) and July 22 (Europe, UK) via Soundcloud here as well as via download via iTunes here. The eight-track release was recorded at The Echo Lab in Argyle, Tex. with the band reuniting with producer Matt Pence (Yuck, Jay Farrar).
Pre-order packages for Circumambulation are available on CD/LP/Digital and a deluxe vinyl version that contains a custom letter-pressed art print, designed by DH Phillips and hand painted by the band (bit.ly/TrueWidow).
