In addition to a forthcoming ABBEY OF THELEMA record (release date TBA), WRAITH PRODUCTIONS has also set a release date of May 13th for two new releases: STRAFK’s Phaseshifting and SOMNAMBULIST RED’s Birth Throes, Shadows and Serpentine Curves. A mysterious Russian duo, STRAFK’s Phaseshifting is a four-phase EP that weaves its spell like a meditative paralysis, its DOOMescent lines melding black metal and melancholic rock. Meanwhile, SOMNAMBULIST RED’sBirth Throes, Shadows and Serpentine Curves is a 3:21 sonic atmospheric exploration of mystery, a “cinematic soundscape” created by tones that can relate to progressive post-punk ambient experimentation. STRAFK’s Phaseshifting is the band’s debut release while SOMNAMBULIST RED’s Birth Throes, Shadows and Serpentine Curves serves as an appetizer for the band’s forthcoming new album.
