Sziasztok! Nemrég jelent meg az ötödik albumotok, az ‘In The Black’. Milyenek a visszajelzések, illetve mi a véleményetek róla így 2-3 hónap elteltével?
– Mi is és, szerintünk, a rajongók is nagyon örülünk az albumnak. Szerintem, ez az eddigi legjobb munkánk.
Hogyan álltak össze a számok?
– Általában egy riffből vagy ötletből indulunk ki. Semmi tudományos nincs benne!
A „Cut Throat”-on kívül készül még valamelyik dalhoz klip? Olvastam, hogy a „Sorrow I Know”-ra volt forgatás, ezt mikor láthatják a rajongók?
– A „The Sorrow I Know” videó 2010-ben jön ki, úgyhogy figyeljetek.
Hogyan alakult 1996-ban a zenekar helyzete? Mik voltak a kezdetekkor hatással rátok?
– A Kittie-t egy olyan baráti társaság alapította, akik meg akartak tanulni játszani és jól akarták magukat érezni.
Természetes volt. Legnagyobb részt a 90-es évek bandái ihlettek, mint a Tool, Nirvana, Helmet.
Jellemeznéd 1-1 mondattal vagy történettel az eddigi albumaitokat?
-Spit

-Spit: Ha jól emlékszem 15 éves voltam, mikor felvettük és 12, mikor elkezdtük írni. 9 napig tartott a felvétel és nagyon jó volt.
-Oracle: Úgy emlékszem Morgan és én elkezdtünk dolgozni az album hangzásán és nagyon szépen összemostuk a Kittie kemény és dallamos oldalát.
-Until the End: A felvétel nagyon jó hangulatban telt, a hangzás rendben van, talán az előállítás lehetett volna egy kicsit jobb.
-Funeral for Yesterday: Ez az album nem igazán szól jól, vagy súlyosan, a számok rajta vannak, de a felvétel köszönőviszonyban sincs a korábbi albumokkal.
Legjobb/legrosszabb koncertélmény a 13 év alatt? És zenerajongóként is érdekelne ugyanez, tehát amikor a közönségből nézted valamelyik kedvencedet.
– Élőben mindenből lehet tanulni. Nem hiszem, hogy lett volna rossz bulink. Néha elkövetsz hibákat, de nem szabad sokáig rágódni rajtuk.
Milyen zenéket hallgatsz/hallgattok mostanában? Új feltörekvő bandákat szemmel tartasz? Mik tetszettek a 2009-es felhozatalból?
Sokféle zenét szeretek, és szerintem így van ezzel a banda többi tagja is. Nem szabad korlátok közé szorítanod magad. A kedvenc albumom talán a 2009-es You are my Sunshine, a Copeland-től.
Voltatok már Magyarországon? Mi jut eszedbe először róla?
– Még nem, de nagyon szeretnénk elmenni. Budapest jut róla először eszembe!

Hi there! Your new album, In the Black is out now. How are the feedbacks so far? What’s your opinion about the album after these 2-3 months?
– We are so happy with this album and i think our fans are too. i think it is our best work to date.
How did you compose the songs?
– We usually just come to practise with a riff or an idea and go from there. no real scince to it!
Will there be a video besides „Cut Throat”? I read that there was a shooting of „Sorrow I Know”, when can the fans watch this?
– The sorrow i know video will be coming out in 2010 so keep a lookout for it
How did the band form in 1996? Who influenced you back then?
– Kittie was formed by a bunch of friends that wanted to learn there insterments together and have a good time. It was really innocent. For the mosty part we were influanced by the hard rock of the 90’s like tool nirvana helmet.
Could you please describe your albums so far?
-Spit

-Until the End
-Funeral for Yesterday
– Spit
– Good considering i was 15 when we recorded the album and 12 when we started writing it. it was a 9 day recording and a lot of fun

– I think morgan and i really started to develop a sound on this album and really meshed the heavy side of kittie with the melodic side nicely
– Until the End
– We had a lot of fun record. the sound is alright, i think the production could have been better
– Funeral for Yesterday
– This album doesnt sound very good or heavy, the songs are there but the recording is not at par with our other albums
What were the best/worse concert experiences under these 13 years? Please tell about this from the view when you were in the line of the audience as well.
– Every experiance is a good experiance ina live setting. I dsont think weve ever really had a bad show. Sometimes you make mistakes but you have to shrug them off
What kind of music do you listen nowadays? Are you tracking the new bands? What do you like from 2009?
– I like all kinds of different music and i think that goes for the whole band. you dont want to restrict yourself. I think my favourite album of 2009 is copeland’s-you are my sunshine
Have you been to Hungary yet? What’s the first thing that comes into your mind of Hungary?
– We havent been yet but we would love to come!!! the first thing that comes to mind is budapest!
