A Panzerchrist név hallatán sokan gondolhatják, hogy milyen zenét játszotok, de azért szeretném, ha ismertetnéd a zenétek lényegét, stílusát!
CSAPJUNK BELE!! A Panzerchrist egy eredeti banda, és bizony ám, hogy van saját stílusunk: Panzerchrist war metál. Az ihletet legtöbbször filmekből vagy könyvekből merítjük, de a fantáziánk is határtalan és egyként dolgozunk mindenen; nagyjából ez számunkra az inspiráció.
A kezdetektől elég sok tagcserén esett át a zenekar, mi lehet ennek az oka? Mennyire stabil a jelenlegi felállás? Könnyen lehet manapság jó zenészeket találni?
Való igaz, hogy az évek során rengeteg váltás történt. Az okok sokfélék, volt akinek a családjával kellett törődni, volt akinek a munkája miatt kellett mennie, aztán voltak olyanok, akik más bandában akartak játszani és nem maradt idejük a Panzerchrist-ra, meg ugye ott vannak azok, akiket kirúgtunk a csapatból. Így pedig nehéz egy stabil felállást összehozni, de ha már így rákérdeztél, reméljük, hogy marad a jelenlegi felállás, de hát semmi sem biztos, csak a halál!
Nagyjából 10 éve alakult a banda, viszont mégsem vagytok túl népszerűek. Meg vagytok elégedve a zene stílusához mérten a népszerűségetekkel?
Tíz év? Szerintem huszadik évfordulót akartál mondani! A Panzerchrist-nak idén lesz a 20. évfordulója! A Panzerchrist nem annyira ismeretlen banda, a világ legtöbb részén igen jól ismernek minket. Lehet nem vagyunk a „metál” bandák krémje, de ábrándozni szabad és mi hajlandóak vagyunk még jobban ábrándozni, de a sült galamb nem pottyan csak úgy a szádba, nagy munka elérni a csúcsot.
Eddig hat albumot jelentettetek meg és most jön a hetedik. 10 dalt tartalmaz és nagyon gyilkos, viszont dallamok is vannak. Mi mindent tudsz erről mondani?
Igen, tisztán kirajzolódott előttünk, hogy milyennek szeretnénk, hogy sokkal dallamosabb legyen sötét, baljós hangulattal, itt ott elhintve pár gonosz részt. Nem akartunk gyorsabban játszani, mert már egyszer bebizonyítottunk, hogy olyan gyorsan tudunk zenélni mint a ménkű!
Melyik stúdióban vettétek fel és ki volt a producer majd ki végezte a keverést?
A vokált és a keverést a Death Island Studio-ban csináltuk, a hangmérnök Marco Angioni volt. A gitárt, szintetizátort és basszust a The Igloo-ban vettük fel Hr. Swan segítségével, a dobot az AMP stúdióban Jens Förster és Markus Ziemer közreműködésével. Az egész folyamatról csak annyit mondanék, hogy hatalmas siker volt így dolgozni, egyik bandatagnak sem kellett stresszelnie azon, hogy úgymond „kivárja a sorát”.
Mivel nem most kezdtétek a zenélést gondolom volt jó pár elvárásotok a stúdióval kapcsolatban, melyek voltak ezek?
Hogy a producerrel lehessen közösen dolgozni, hogy a stúdiónak legalább normális felszerelése, keverője stb. legyen, és nem utolsó sorban az albumkészítés költségei. Mondhatjuk, hogy a Panzerchrist-nak nincsen sok elvárása, de a stúdió végtermékétől megköveteljük a kiváló minőséget.
Mennyire változott a zenétek korábbi évekhez képest? Ezt nevezhetjük már tökéletes háborúnak :)?
Már kicsivel fentebb említettem az interjúban, hogy tisztán kirajzolódott előttünk, hogy a Panzerchrist mit akar a zenétől, a hangzásától, hogy sokkal harmonikusabb, dallamosabb legyen sötét, baljós hangulattal és néhány elszórt gonosz résszel. Nem akartunk gyorsabban játszani, mert már bizonyítottunk, van is néhány gyors blastbeat rész a „7th Offensive”-en!
Sok időd tudtok zenélésre szánni?
Az utolsó albumot, az RR-t (Regimen Ragnarok), több mint két éve vettük fel, tehát hogy válaszoljak a kérdésedre: igen, bőven volt időnk a „7th Offensive” zenéinek megszerzésére!
Dániában mennyire kedvelik a metal arcokat? Metalon belül melyik a „legfelkapottabb” stílus?
Illdisposed, Crocell, Artillery, Dawn of Demise, Corpus Mortale, Caro, Mercyful Fate, King Diamond; hogy csak párat említsek a dán metál színtér neveiből. A szélsőséges metál egyre nő errefelé, ami jó lehetőséget biztosít itt Dániában a bandák közötti versengésre.
Feltörekvő bandák: Crocell, Dawn of Demise, Caro, Necrosis, Illnath, Corpus Mortale; a listát elég hosszú lenne végigmondani. Dániában főleg death és black metált játszanak, de itt is megtalálható az összes metál stílus!
A Listenable támogatásával sikerül megfelelő mennyiségű koncertlehetőséghez jutnotok? Mi várható az idei évre?
Idáig nagyon elégedettek vagyunk a Listenable Records-al, amit értünk és a „7th Offensive”-ért tettek. Reméljük, hogy RENGETEG promóciót fogunk kapni az új albumra, a „7th Offensive” benne van a Panzerchrist által készített albumok top 3-jában, de majd meglátjuk, hogy mekkora hírverést kap. Főleg most, hogy a 20. évfordulóját ünnepli a Panzerchrist!! Szerintem (Soren Volcals) remek a csapatmunka köztünk és a Listenable Records között.

ENGLISH VERSION:
Hearing the name Panzerchrist gives people a generic idea about the sort of music you play, but I would like you, to describe your just, your style.
HELL YEAH !! Panzerchrist is an original band, and sure we got our own style: Panzerchrist War Metal. We draw the inspirations from mainly from moves, books, we also have a wild imagination and we works together as a unit, so that pretty most how we get our inspirations!
There were several line-up changes since your formation; what is the reason behind this? How stable is your current line-up? Would you say that nowadays it’s easy to find good musicians?
It’s true that there has been many changes throw the years. The reasons for the many changes is of different reasons, some got families to attent to, other got Jobs, others again had other band there wanted to play in so they didn’t have time for Panzerchrist, other again got kicked out of the band, so that’s why it’s difficult to maintain a stable lineup, but when that’s stated, we hope to maintain the lineup as it’s now, but nothing’s certain in life, only death !!
You are up and running for about 10 years now, still, you are not that popular. Based on the style of music, are you satisfied with your popularity?
10 Years ? You most mean 20 years anniversary !! Panzerchrist is 20 years old & got our 20th anniversery this year !! Panzerchrist isn’t that unknown, we’re quite known in most parts of the world, , and sure we ain’t no top “metal” band, but we aim high and is willing to aim even higher, but nothing comes out of the blue, it takes very hard work to get to the top !
You have released six albums and are about to release the seventh. It contains ten real killer songs, but there are a few melodic ones. What would you say about this?
Yeah we had a clear vision on how we wanted it to be and sound, much more melodic with a dark sinister atmospheres and evil fills here and there,we didn’t want to play faster, coz we’ve already proved that we could/can play fast as hell !!
In which studio did you record it, who was your producer and who did the mixing?
Vocals and mix was done in Death Island Studio, Engineered by Marco Angioni.
Guitar, Synth and Bass was recorded in The Igloo by Hr.Swan.
Drums recorded at AMP studio by Jens Förster and Markus Ziemer.
About the process, I can only state that it was a huges success to work this way, no stress for the other members of the band “by waiting there turn” so to speak.
Since you didn’t start making music yesterday, I guess you had a few expectations about the studio. What were these?
That we can work with the producer, that the studio got atleast some good gear and mixer,ect and last but not least the economy that we got to make an album ! So it’s not many expectations that Pnazerchrist have, but we demand a high quality on the outcome of the product when we’re in a studio !
What has changed in your music compared to the earlier ones? Could we call this a perfect war? 🙂
I’ve already mentioned it abit earlier in the interview, we had a clear vision on how Panzerchrist wanted it to be and to sound, much more harmonic, melodic with a dark sinister atmospheres and evil fills & lead parts here and there, we didn’t want to play faster, coz we’ve already proved that we could/can play fast as hell, even there’s still fast blastbeating parts on 7th Offensive !!
Do you have a lot of time to make music?
The last album RR ( Regimen Ragnarok ) that we’d recond was 2 years ago, so to answer you question, yup this time we had along time to compose the music for 7th Offensive !
How liked are metalheads in Denmark? Which is the most “hyped” metal genre there?
Illdisposed,Crocell,Artillery,Dawn of Demise, Corpus Mortale, Caro,Mercyful Fate,King Diamond, to name a few other bands on the Danish metal scene. The extreme metal scene overhere is up and growing,which is good for the challences between the bands here in Denmark.
Rising up: Crocell, Dawn of Demise, Caro, Necrosis, Illnath, Corpus Mortale, the list is pretty long to memtion all. Mainly Death & Black metal, is played in Denmark, but we got all the metal styles here too !!
With the help of Listenable, you have ample opportunities to go to concerts. What can we expect this year?
So far we’re happy with Listenable Records ,what they has done for us and what they did on the 7th Offensive ,We hope to be promoted BIG time with this new album,7th Offensive is top 3 of Panzerchrist albums ever made, but let’s see how they’ll promote Panzerchrist !? Specially now when Panzerchrist got 20th anniversary this year !! I (Søren,Volcals) personally got a great team work with Listenable Records.
