A Throne of Katarsis név bizonyára black metal körökben ismerős lehet. A fontosabb eseményeket azért elevenítsük fel, amit szívesen megosztanál az olvasókkal? Mennyire szereted a nyilvánosságot?
Üdv! Infamroth-al összedobtuk amink van, hogy 2002-ben megcsinálhassuk az Unholy Rituals. 2004-ben kiadtuk az „Unholy Holocaustwind”-et. 2006-ban írtunk alá egy szerződést a Candleligt Records-al, ami után együttesen kiadtunk 4 albumot. Sanrabb és Skinndodj 2008/2010-ben csatlakozott.
A nyilvánosság fontos ahhoz, hogy elterjesszük rituálénk.
Napjainkban jelent meg a legújabb albumotok, ami már a negyedik a sorban. Nagyon nyers és rideg az egész. A felvételek hol zajlottak? Mit módosítottatok az előző anyaghoz képest?
A „The Three Transcendental Keys”-t a tou-i tömlöcökben vettük fel. Ez egy témára-összpontosító album, amit eddig még soha nem csináltunk.
Az album címe a „The Three Transcendental Keys”. Mit takar ez pontosan? Miről szólnak?
Ezt tekintsd a belső és az univerzális sötétség párbeszédének; a belső űrnek és az égi katakombáknak. Az album alapgondolata a felemelkedéssel, a végtelen és mindent uraló sötétséggel és a teljes ürességgel foglalkozik, ami egyszer újra el fog nyelni minket – mindhárom külön kulcs, hogy elérhessük az átjárót a végtelen égi szakadékhoz és önmagunk legsötétebb mélységeihez.
A zene stílusa vitathatatlanul Black Metal. Mit jelent számodra és mennyire tartod fontosnak a hűséged ehhez a műfajhoz?
Számunkra a Throne of Katarsis az ok, amiért csináljuk, benne van a vérünkben és a lelkünkben. Nem a black metalhoz való hűség kérdése. Egyszerűen tudod mit kell tenni és mi húzza rá a sötétséget elmédre.
Mit gyűlölsz legjobban az életedben? A zenével teljesen ki tudod adni a dühödet?
Gyűlölök mindent, ami rendet próbál tenni abban a káoszban, amire teremtettek minket; a vallás, a pénz és a gyógyszerek részesei annak a problémának, ami miatt ezt a földet elözönlötték az ember nevezetű élősködők.
Mely zenekarokkal tartsátok a kapcsolatot? Mennyire zavarnak a divatosabb „Black Metal” stílusú zenekarok?
Természetesen tartjuk a kapcsolatot egy maréknyi bandával, de senki mással. Ha akarnám sem érdekelnének más bandák. Minden figyelmem a Throne of Katarsis-é és semmi másé.
Szoktatok koncertezni? Milyen események várhatóak a jövőben veletek kapcsolatban? Tervek, célok?
Tartun egy rituálét a Messe Des Morts Festiválon a quebec-i Montreálban november 29-én.
Mikortól lett számodra fontos a Black Metal? Minek a hatására kezdtél el zenélni?
Amikor először meghallottam az „A Blaze in the Nortern Sky”-t még valamikor 1994-ben, akkor vezéreltem magam az élet sötét oldalána vezető útra.
Mennyire fontosak számodra a rajongói vélemények?
Az őszinte rajongók fontosak számunkra, de nehéz őket megtalálni a rituáléinkra özönlő és koncertjeinket hallgató rengeteg birka között. Szeretek társalogni azokkal a rajongóinkkal, akiknek hasonló a gondolkodásmódja és megértik azt amit csinálunk.

Surely the name of Throne of Katarsis must ring a bell in black metal circles. But let’s refresh the most important events that you would like to share with the readers. How much do you like publicity?
Hail!, Me and Infamroth joined forces to make Unholy Rituals in 2002
In 2004 we released Unholy Holocaustwind.
We signed a deal with Candlelight Records in 2006 and after that we released 4 albums with them.
Sanrabb and Skinndød joined in 2008/2010.
Publicity is important in order to spread our Rituals.
Just recently you have released your latest album, which is the 4th in the series. The whole thing is very raw and cold. Where did the recordings happen? What changes have you made compared to the previous material?
The Three transcendental Keys was recorded at the old dungeons of Tou This is a concept album that we have not done before.
The album title is “The Three Transcendental Keys”. What does it mean exactly? What is it about?
This is to be seen as the Dialogue between the Inner Darkness and the Universal Darkness; the Internal Void and the Astral Catacombs. The Concept of this Album deals with the Transcendence, the Eternal and Dominant Darkness, and the Absolute Nothingness which shall again devour us – all divided into Three separate Keys for reaching the Passage to the Astral Abyss and the darkest Depths of the Self
The style is undoubtedly Black Metal. What does it mean to you, and how important is it for you to stay loyal to the genre?
For us Throne of Katarsis are the reason to do this, it is in our blood and bone ,there is not a loyalty question regarding Black metal.
You just know what’s right and what brings darkness to your mind.
What is it that you hate the most in your life? Can you completely quell your rage with music?
I hate everything that tries to make order out of the Chaos we are meant for, religion, money and medicine are amongst the problems that keep this earth flooded with parasites called humans.
Which bands do you keep contact with? Do these new, more trendy “Black Metal” themed bands bother you?
Of course we keep in contact with the very few bands we are related to ,but none others
I could not care less about any other band. My focus are Throne of Katarsis and none other.
Do you have concerts? What events should be expected in the future?
We are performing our Rituals at the Messe des Morts festival in Montreal Quebec November 29.
When did Black Metal become important to you? What was it that made you start playing music?
When I heard “A blaze in the northern sky” for the first time back in 94 is when I focused my life and started my journey towards the dark side of life
How important is fan feedback for you?
Sincere fans are important, but hard to find amongst the many sheep who attend the performances and have heard our Rituals.
I like to discuss with fans that are in the same spirit and understands what we are doing.
