A közel egy évtizede munkálkodó doom/gothic metalt játszó Agregator 3. nagylemezével jelentkezik 2009-ben. A tatabányai zenekar országszerte sokfelé megfordult koncerteken, fesztiválokon és a környező országokba is sikerült eljutniuk. Lássuk mit követtek el ezúttal!
Az előző album (Szürkület) bórítója díjat kapott a Hungarian Metal Awards-on. A mostani borítón egy sebekkel, karcolásokkal teli arcot láthatunk különös színösszeállításban. Az arc sötétségbe merül, így nem láthatjuk a szemeket. A booklet-ben a szövegeken és a köszönetmondáson kívül egy megemlékezést is találunk elhunyt zenésztársakról.
A lemezen 9 dal található. A zene magán viseli az Agregator stílusjegyeit; Mikus Tamás hörgős-morgós éneke, dallamos, melankólikus riffek, erőteljes dobtémák és jellegzetes szövegtémák. Tempó tekintetében sokszínű a lemez, bár többségben a középtempós dalok állnak. A zenekarra jellemző akusztikus – tiszta énekes riffek most sem tűntek el, rögtön az első számban -Éjfél felé- ott vannak. Ennek a dalnak – ahogy a többinek is – jó témát találtak a fiúk, a szövegek is találók. Legjobban az első szám és a Zárt ajtók jogán című szám szövege tetszett, megvan a komor feelingjük és az igazságuk is. A zenészek nagyon értik a hangszerüket, erőteljes, kemény, esetenként dallamosabb riffeket vonultatnak fel végig az album során.
Nagy örömömre nem spóroltak a szólókkal, elég rendes bűvészkedéseket hallhatunk a lemezen. A kedvencem ilyen szempontból a második, A skorpió útja című szerzemény. 🙂 Ikergitárok is színesítik a dalokat, így nem annyira sötét a légkör. Néhány dalban mellék vokálokat is hallhatunk, nem meglepően magas szólamokat, amik még hatásosabbá teszik a dalokat. A hangzással semmi gond nincs, persze ez nem meglepetés, hiszen a felvételek az Audioplanat stúdióban készültek (ahogy az új WMD lemezé is).
Az Agregator zenéjét azért szeretem, mert a koncerteken is ütnek a dalok és otthon, elmélkedve is jó hallgatni őket, mert komoly szövegeik vannak. Elég színvonalasan nyomják a metalt a fiúk, úgyhogy én sikereket jósolok nekik. Egységes album lett az Emberség, mindenkinek merem ajánlani hallgatásra, aki nem riad vissza a komoly szövegektől és a súlyos riffektől. METAL!

ENGLISH VERSION:
The doom/gothic metal band Agregator was formed a decade before and is going to release their third full-lenght album in 2009. The band from Tatabánya (Hungary) already played at several concerts and festivals in every part of the country and also in the neighbouring countries. Let us see what they have made this time!
The cover of the previous album (Szürkület – twilight) has been granted the Hungarian Metal Awards. In the current picture we can see a human face full of wounds and scratches, all in a strange composition of colours. The face is hidden by the darkness so we can”t see the eyes. In the booklet, beyond the lyrics and the acknowledgement part there is commemoration to the musician-friends who have passed away.
There are 9 songs on the record. The music bears the typical signs of the Agregator style; the crabby-rattly voice of Tamás Mikus, the melodic, melancholic riffs, the powerful drums and the typical topics in the lyrics. As for the tempo the record shows a vide range of variety, but most of the tracks are middle-paced. The band”s typical acoustic – clean vocal parts appear again in the album.Right away the first track -Éjfél felé- toward midnight- starts with those riffs. The songs have really good themes and the lyrics are apt. I liked most the lyrics of the first song and that of the one titled Zárt ajtók jogán-by the right of closed doors, they have the dim feeling and their own truth, too. The musicians are professional, they all play very well, there are many heavy, powerfull riffs with a bit of great melodies all along the album.
Much to my delight the guitar solos are not missing either, we can hear quite good legerdemains on the guitars. In this aspect my favourite is the second one with the title A skorpió útja- the route of the scorpio. 🙂 Sometimes twin-guitar parts colour the riffs, so they don”t have very dark feeling. In some of the tracks there are backing vocals, of course they”re from the high trebles and with them the songs will be more effective. No problem at all with the sound, but it isn”t a surprise because they recorded the material in the Audioplanet studio (like the new WMD album also was recorded here).
I like the music of Agregator because the songs are heavy enough in live and it”s good to listen to them at home as well, amid musing, because the lyrics are serious. The boys play metal very perfect, so i think much success is ahead of them. Emberség- humanity is a really complete album, i recommend it for everyone, who doesn”t boggle at listening to serious lyrics and the heavy riffs. METAL!
