A hasonló számok folyamából kiemelkedik a címadó és az I Can See You és az érdekes kezdéssel bíró Sick Of It All.

ENGLISH VERSION:

Ektomorf was the first hungarian metal band which signed with the well-known Nuclear Blast label. With their 2004 release (Destroy) they rocketed into international fame, but with their following two albums they couldn”t make the next step. After the breakup with Nuclear Blast, the band signed with AFM and released their new album, which is called What Doesn’t Kill Me.
There was a major change int he line up: Zoltán Farkas”s brother Csaba left the band. That left the band with only Zoltán as founding member, so now he is the unquestioned face of the band. You can clearly see his dominance as they featured his face on the cover of the album and you can get a copy of Zoltan”s necklace with the limited edition of the album.

However, the music is the same, easily recognisable Ektomorf. 2-3 minute long tracks, with lot of groove, yells, ocassionally you can hear some guitar solo. The lyrics are maily about the typical topics of Zoltán: hate, struggle, fight and pain in very direct, straight form. The title track, I Can See You and Sick Of It All are rising from the flood of the similar songs.
Many of you can say that Ektomorf is nothing more than a second league Soulfly/Sepultura copy, but I don”t think so. Ektomorf plays even easier music, if you compare them with the lately conceptious works of Sepultura. Although the music of Max Cavalera clearly had influence on the band, but not as much as some people might try to state. I think even Zoltán can’t think that there are some people out there, who hate Ektomorf just because he”s half gipsy. Maybe the reason for that is the fact that he regularly tries to make a bad picture of Hungary during his interviews. Sometimes he even tries to do that while he”s onstage and a hungarian national flag waves for him.

Now that we put the inevitable topics behind us, it”s time to summarize: The band made a better album than the weak Outcast, but they couldn’t reach the heights of Destroy.
