A második Hand To Hand nagylemez május 26-án fog megjelenni a Lifeforce kiadó gondozásában, ami a tavalyi ‘Breaking the Surface’ 5 számos EP-t követi a sorban. 2006. elején felléptek, már Budapesten is, a Süss Fel Napban az amerikai Scars Of Tomorrow társaságában. Innen biztos ismerős lehet már ez a zenekar.
A floridai ötös a következő felállásban rögzítette az anyagot: John Radford, Arturo Matamoros gitárosok, John Raudebaugh basszer, Danny Strong dobos és Rob Kellom énekes, aki jól váltogatja a dallamos éneklést és a visítást. Mellette az egyik gitáros is vokálozik, így 3 hangot is kapunk egyszerre, ez máris változatossá teszi a zenéjüket. Nagyon jól szól az egész, nekem a gitártémák jönnek be legjobban az albumról.
10 dalt kapunk, ebből a záró „Let’s End This Album With A Party” a maga 9 percével a leghosszabb, és nagyon egyben van! Itt nincs ének, így volt időm a basszusra meg a dobra is figyelni, nagyon jó, tele metalos hatással. A többi szám 2-4 perc hosszúságú, tehát nincs szerencsére túlbonyolítva a történet, de ez nem is arról kell, hogy szóljon.
Jól keverik a különböző stílusokat, lendületes, dallamos, néha bedurvulnak, sokan szeretik az effajta muzsikát. Ugyanakkor nem az a gagyi, ami manapság megy „emo” címszó alatt.
Személyes kedvencek még: „The Lion’s Den”, „State Of Emergency”, „Last Saturday Was Way Better”, „Mr. Warwithin”.
AFI, Underoath, The Idoru rajongók előre, szerezzétek be ezt az albumot! És minden nyitott, modern metalt hallgató ember is!

The second Hand To Hand album will be out on 26 May by Lifeforce Records following 2008’s 5-track EP „Breaking the Surface”. They also had a gig in Budapest in 2006 with Amercian Scars Of Tomorrow. So the band could be familiar to you.
The Florida-based five-piece recorded the stuff with the following line-up: John Radford, Arturo Matamoros guitarists, John Raudebaugh bass, Danny Strong drums and Rob Kellom vocals, who’s alternating melodic vox and screaming very well. Beside him, one of the guitarists also sings so we get 3 different vocals at a time which makes the music varied. The whole thing sounds well, and I like the guitar themes most.
There are 10 tracks on the album, and the longest one is the closing „Let’s End This Album With A Party” with a 9 minute playing time is really cool. There are no vocals here so I had even time to take note of the bass and drums and it’s very god, full of metal influence. The other tracks are between 2 and 4 minutes in play time, so the whole story is not overcomplicated, but it should not be about that either anyway.
They blend the various genres real well, they’re dynamic, sometimes rawer, and a lot of people like this kind of music. Nevertheless, it’s not that shit that come under the term „emo”.
My personal favourites include: „The Lion’s Den”, „State Of Emergency”, „Last Saturday Was Way Better”, „Mr. Warwithin”.
AFI, Underoath, The Idoru fans go and get this album! And every open-minded modern metal fan should also do that!
