Grindcore ide vagy oda, kevés olyan jó banda van, akik kitűnnek a sablonok borzalmas világának szürkeségeiből, és ezen kevesek közé tartozik az amcsi Magrudergrind is! Őszintén szólva most hallottam először róluk, és kicsit szégyellem is magam ez végett. Bajban voltam a csapattal, ugyanis ez nem egy olyan egyszerű grind őrlés, mint ahogy azt már sokan megszokhatták. Van itt kérem szépen minden amit csak el lehet képzelni! Punk hatásoktól kezdve, a kemény thrash vonalig minden! Elmebeteg zene ez, de hát istenem, ez a műfaj már csak ilyen marad. Bár ez nem hátrány, és az sem, – a lemez meglepő rövidsége ellenére -, hogy egymás utáni sokszori, meghallgatás után is kellemes perceket töltöttem el eme csodálatos remekművel, anélkül, hogy meguntam volna. Ritka az ilyen manapság. Már majdhogynem művészi módon csinálják ezt a stílusú zajt a srácok!
Nagyon súlyos aprítást művelnek a „Pulverizing Hate Mongers” a „Rejecting The Militant Promise”, illetve a „Heretics”-ben. Bár a „Bridge Burner” c. nóta a maga három perces hosszával, egy kicsit kiábrándító tud lenni, mert azért ha már eszeveszett grind gyilkolászásról beszélünk, maradjunk a max. két perces időhossznál, de a nóta ettől még vészes. Kellemes lassú őrlést hallunk, kitűnő groove-os riffekkel. Az ezt követő nótában ismét maradnak a groove-os megoldásoknál, amely csak a szám kezdetén kísért, de aztán egy tökéletes blastbeat mészárlás után, levezetésként, egy párbeszédet hallhatunk, mely nagyon tanulságos mondanivalóval rendelkezik. Bár a „Excommunicated” már kevésbé tartalmaz tanulságos mondanivalóval, szintúgy a „The Price Of Living By Delinquent Ideals” sem, de kárpótol bennünket a mérhetetlen erejű pusztítás. Amin nagyon meglepődtem az a „Heavier Bombing”. Kemény hárdkór rapp szól. Nos. Az ember sok furcsa dolgot hallott már száz meg száz féle bandától, de én még ilyet nem. Persze megnyugtató, hogy nem csak rapp feelinget áraszt magából a dal, hanem azért a nóta közepére becsúsztattak egy erős darálást. Végezetül a tizenhetedik „dal” egy érdekes levezetése a lemeznek. Mondhatni, valami ambient szerűség, vagy csak inkább egy outro. Nos, akárminek is hívom, a fiúk úgy döntöttek, hogy az utolsó track címe az „Untitled” legyen.
Összegzésképpen: Az erős gitár hangzás, a brutális ének, az érdekes, ámbár vicces és zseniális borító, illetve a jól összerakott dalocskák teljesen magukért beszélnek. Az album hallgatása során, nem találtam benne, semmi olyan tényezőt, ami zavart volna (még a rapp-es dolog is elég viccesnek bizonyult)! Egyszerűen ez egy mesteri alkotás, és a zenekar előtt nagy jövő áll. Bízom benne, hogy még találkozom a nevükkel, és tovább kísérhetem munkásságukat a közeljövőben.
Ezt a lemezt leginkább olyan embereknek tudom ajánlani, akik szeretik az eszeveszett, agyament, agyvelő kitépő durva muzsikát! Csalódni nem fognak!

Grindcore or not, it’s hard to find a band which breaks the boundaries of the awful world of conventional patterns with its music. The American Magrudergrind is a band like that. To be honest, it’s the first time I hear about them, shame on me. I had a little trouble while I was trying to accustom myself to this music, because it’s not the usual grindcore trashing. There’s everything what you can imagine! Like influence of punk and hard thrash metal music. This music is crazy, but it’s not a disadvantage – grindcore always remains the same. Even after constant listening, this album can’t get boring (it’s quite rare nowadays), despite the shortness of it. It’s also not a disadvantage: I had some very pleasant minutes while I were listening to this album. These guys play this grindcore noise like if it was an art!
They play a rock hard trashing music at „Pulverizing Hate Mongers”, „Rejecting The Militant Promise” and „Heretics” tracks. Though „Bridge Burner”, with its 3 minutes of length, can be a bit disillusioning, because if there are killing grindcore themes, let a song be within the 2 minutes of length. We can hear a nice slow whirling, with excellent groove-like riffs. The next song also uses groove-like elements, but only at the beginning. Then a slaughtering blastbeat comes, and the end of this song is a dialogue, which offers a moral lesson to the listeners. Moral lessons aren’t included in „Excommunicated” or „The Prince of Living By Delinquent Ideals”, but the unbelievable destroying power in these songs compensate it. „Heavier Bombing” was a surprising track for me. It’s like hardcore rap. Well. I’ve heard many different kind of things from different bands, but I’ve never experienced a thing like this. It’s relieving that it’s not all about rap feeling, there’s a grinding section through the middle. And as for closing the album, the seventeenth „song” is an interesting finish of this album. It’s like ambient, or just like an outro. Whatever I call it, the guys decided to name this song as „Untitled”.
To sum it up: the strong sounding of the guitar, the brutal vocals, the interesting, but funny and brilliant cover, the well-constructed songs are all for the ears and eyes of the listeners. After listening to this album, I couldn’t find anything which would disturb me (I found even the rap section quite funny)! It’s simply a masterpiece, the band can have a bright future. I hope I’ll hear about them more, and I can follow their career in the near future.
I can recommend this album to people who like crazy, mad, frenzy, brain tearing heavy music! They won’t be disappointed!
