A Glory By The Name modern metalos köntösben bukkan elő, itt inkább a dallamoké a főszerep.
A The Reaper Waits metalcore-os vonásai elég határozottan szerephez jutnak a szerkezet során.
A dal kerek, nincsenek benne gyenge pontok, mindenképp saját ízt hordoz. A játék színes, tempós, fura hangokkal megáldva néha, és a progresszivitás határát súroló témák is felbukkannak.

A Stand As One Fight For Glory kőkemény alapja, a komplex elemek felsorakoztatása.

A Take Me As I Am a modern metallal ötvözött metalcore éráját mutatja meg a zenekarnak, ahol ismét képbe kerül pár technikás téma, néhány ügyes alap, de felbukkan egy ritka gyenge dallamos betét is.
A sort az It’s Not Over Yet zárja, egy kemény metalcore szám, bevadulós, tekerős gitárral, szaggatós riffekkel, játékos dobbal, mély basszussal, határozott énekkel zárja.

ENGLISH VERSION:

Scottish MENDEED has already been reviewed on Kronos Mortus. The band, consisting of Chris Lavery (bass, vox); Dave Proctologist (vox); Kevin Matthews (drums); Steph Gildea (guitar); Steve Nixon (solo guitar), this time comes up with a compilation material.

The first track, Ignite The Flames consists of heavy, basic death metal elements, powerful, technical parts follow each other, and the melodic parts are catchy. Its mood is a sterile-scented dementia, escape, collapse, wild fear.
Act Of Sorrow is crushing like hell, from the depth of death metal directly, and it’s only crushing and crushing. Despite the fast tempos and varied themes the song’s structure is good though Fatal Poison Whisper’s mid-paced tempo and emotional and unique structure moves the listener. The sound isn’t perfect here either, but the power can be felt. Basically, it sounds good, no big problem with it, but something is missing.

Glory By The Name comes in a modern metal costume, here the melodies are the main components. Of course, the melancholic sound, which is clear and mature enough to pass on everything, is also based on rock hard basics.
The metalcore-like elements of The Reaper Waits gets their role in the structure as well significantly. Also, the melodies are in majority compared to the rawer parts, and the basics are mainly typical characteristics of the style. The melodic side of the vocals is both good and bad, no problem with the raw vox but that BMish part of the track should have been left out.
Beneath A Burning Sky bursts in as death metal with heavy, staccato riffs. The track is complete, there are no weak parts in it, it carries an own taste. The playing is colourful, here and there blessed with strange sounds, and there are even themes that are rather progressive.

The rock hard base of As One Fight For Glory is a lining up of complex elements. The only bad point of this good track is that the solo and more epic chorus part are weak.
Remains Of The Day starts like a black metal song but the sound is rather weak and the vocal doesn”t match this part of the track either. Why feature such fillers when they can be better as they showed it?!
Burning Fear is a pulsing song, and is black metallish regarding the mood but as for the guitars, we can speak about a regular metal song. A part of the tune is free of ideas, but the vocals kill on both fronts. The solo is not too worked-out either, it’s a pity, and so is for the whole track – the whole is built upon a couple of stereotyped themes.

The Dead Live By Love starts off with a solo but later, unfortunately, it first gets ruined by a hard, metalocre part then a completely senseless, melodic chorus and unnecessary solo.
Take Me As I Am shows the band’s metalocre-blended-with-modern-metal era where there are also some technical parts, creative basics present but there is also an exceptionally weak melodic part as well. Still, I feel most MENDEED tracks are not entirely mature yet but they’re on the right path.
The stuff is closed by It’s Not Over Yet which is a hard metalcore track with wild guitars, staccato riffs, playful drums, down-tuned bass and determined vocals. There are good ideas in here, well worked-out themes, everything is alright. Well, it’s the direction they should be heading for!
Part of the record is listenable but it’s actually only for a brief review of their career. Recommended for metalcore fans, the rest is up to them.
