A New Device egy nem csak zenekarnak fiatal, hanem fiatal zenészekből álló angol csapat. Az ismertető szerint a legnagyobb „stadion rock” zenekarok hatása alatt született saját anyaguk, mint például Guns N Roses, Aerosmith és Metallica. Nem kis nevek, akik tényleg meg tudnak tölteni stadionokat szinte bárhol bármikor. Lemezük megjelenése előtt megjártak pár komolyabb zenei rendezvényt is előzenekarként.
Amennyiben az a zenekar célja, hogy kedvenceikhez hasonló zenét csináljanak, akkor ez sikerült nekik. Laza rock and roll ez, rengetek jó gitártémával és vokállal. A lazaság és a sok vokál kicsit amerikaivá teszi az albumot, de végülis azon belül igen jó hallgatni, csak úgy mint a fent felsorolt kedvenceket. Kiállásuk tényleg emlékeztet például a GnR színpadképére, persze a dalok az ének miatt akár egész más hangulatot is áraszthatnak, és hallgatva az albumot én azt mondom, még a szintet is tudják hozni, valamivel modernebb és fiatalosabb formában amivel azért barátkozni kell a megrögzött hardcore GnR Metallica Aerosmith rajongóknak. Ennek ellenére mind műfajban, mind minőségben azt kapjuk amit ígértek.
Meglepődni éppen ezért nem lehet ezen az albumon, és mivel jók a dalok és tökéletes a keverés, csak azt lehet kifogásolni, hogy ez is csak egy a több ezer albumból amelyik a kedvenc műfaját vagy zenekarait „másolja” saját dalaiban, ezért szinte folyamatos az utánérzés a dalok hallgatása közben. Azt viszont, hogy a rock műfaj gyökereihez nyúltak ilyen jó érzékkel, és nem például emo vagy hörgős, haragvós műfajt csinálnak, mint a ma alakuló divatbandák, nálam kompenzálja a dalokban fellelhető hasonlóságokat. Ezek a srácok sokat dolgoztak a dalokkal a szó igazi értelmében, és talán még lesz idejük valami olyat alkotni ami egyedibbé teszi zenéjüket.

ENGLISH VERSION:
New Device is a young band, not just because they’re a new band, the musicians in it are young as well. According to the info stuff, they music were affected by the biggest „stadium rock” bands, like Guns ‘N’ Roses, Aerosmith and Metallica. These bands are not amateurs, they can fill big stadiums everywhere. New Device were on some bigger musical events, playing before the main bands.
If the goal of the band is to compose music similar to their favourites, they managed to reach this. It’s cool rock and roll, with many good guitar themes and vocals. The coolness and the dominance of the vocals make the album is bit American, but after all, it’s good tol isten to it, just like the mentioned big favourites. Their protrusion is really like the GNR’s appearance, but these songs of course have a different atmosphere because of the different vocals. I can say that they are close to the level of the mentioned bands, but it’s a bit more modern and young formation of rock music, it needs time to get sink in it for big hardcore GNR, Metallica or Aerosmith fans. But despite this, bot has for the genre, and the quality, we get the promised music.
Despite this, it’s difficult to get surprised by listening to this album. The songs are good, the mixing is perfect. The only complaint can be that it’s a copy of many albums of the favourites to a new formation, and we can feel it by listening to the songs. But on the other hand, it’s good to experience that they didn’t copy the fashionable emo or growling bands, like the most of the new bands. It compensate the above mentioned similarities. There’s much work in the songs, in its literal meaning, and they can have time for making their music more unique.
