A Nothing fiatal gárdája tavaly robbant be a hardcore köztudatba. Én személy szerint legelőször 2007 októberében láttam őket a Kulti kistermében a One and the same fest keretein belül. Akkor is már jó benyomást keltettek bennem. Egy energikus, agresszív hardcore/punk bandáról van szó.
A gitárosi poszton egy lány található, Jennifer személyében, aki egyébként elég jól nyűvi hangszerét.
Hét szám található ezen az anyagon, s annak ellenére, hogy demó, egyáltalán nem vészes a hangzás. Ebben a 14 -15 percben megtudhatjuk merre tart a zenekar. Zeneileg tehát maximálisan a 80-as évek punk/HC zenéiről van szó. Akinek nem ugrik be a 80-as évek, annak a nevesebb, divatosabb bandákból meg tudnám említeni a Black flag, Negative approach bandákat is.
Ötletes témák, számok sorakoznak fel egymás mellett. Sokan a Something against you-hoz hasonlítják őket. Lehetséges, hogy vannak benne hatások, mivel SAY-ék is a 80-as évekből táplálkoznak. Szóval ezzel semmi baj sincs. Élőben azért eddig változó teljesítményt nyújtanak. Ami persze nem baj, mert még nagyon fiatal arcokról van szó, s ez a demo is mindenképpen bizalomgerjesztő. Ha minden téren jobban rágyúrnak, akkor egy-két éven belül egy iszonyat király bandára lehetünk büszkék a honi színtéren belül.
A számok Csepelen lettek rögzítve Zsoltnál (ex- Dawncore, Penalty kick, Fallen into ashes stb). Nem rossz a minősége a lemeznek, demonak mindenképp jó. A borító és a booklet is kiváló, amely tökéletesen illik ehhez a muzsikához. A szövegek is nagyon ott vannak, le a kalappal előttük. Mindenképpen csekkoljátok le ezt a bandát, mert megérdemlik.
A nagyon frappáns „Blöff” intro után, bele is csapnak a húrok közé az arcok. A címadó szám, amely rövidebb kvalitással bír címben, de benne van a banda üzenete, ami megmutatja, mit fogsz kapni ebben a negyed órában. Agresszív ének, fasza 80-as évekbeli hangzással, koszos punk zene bele az arcodba. Remélem nemsokára egy teljes hosszúságú anyaggal rukkol elő a banda, mert biztos vagyok benne, hogy még jobb kiadvánnyal fognak dicsekedni nekünk.
Senki ne higgye azt, hogy haldoklik nálunk a punk zene meg a hardcore, mert egyre több fiatal, tehetséges zenekar ad hangot magáról mindenfelé egyre több ágban a punkon belül, s a 80-as évek agresszív vonulatát is már nem egy banda képviseli nálunk. Stop crying and start laughing bitch!!!!!!!!!

ENGLSIH VERSION:
The young musicians of the Nothing became known in the hardcore scene last year. I personally saw them first in the small room of the Kultiplex in October, 2007 in the One and the Same festival. They were even then impressing for me. It is an energetic and aggressive hardcore/punk band.
They have a girl as guitarist, who is, by the way, quite good in playing her instrument.
There are seven tracks on this material, and the sound is quite good, despite being a demo. In this 14-15 minutes one can get to know where the band tends. In music it is maximally about the punk/hc music of the ’80s. For whom the ’80s does not come into mind, I can mention among the more popular bands the Black Flag and the Negative Aprroach.
There are themes with good ideas in line. Many compare them to the Something Against You. It is possible that there are influences from this band as the SAY has roots in the ’80s, as well. So, there is nothing wrong with it. Their live performances are until now varying, which is not a problem, as they are very young, and this demo is dependable in any ways. If they develop in all fields, we will be proud of them as a really cool band in our country.
The tracks were recorded in Csepel at Zsolt (ex-Dawncore, Penalty Kick, Fallen Into Ashes, etc.). The quality of the album is not bad; being a demo it is good in any ways. The artwork and the booklet are perfect, too, and finely fits to this music. The lyrics are cool, as well, they are creditable. Check this band by all means, as they deserve it.
After the very short „Bluff” intro they beat to the strings. The title track, which has a shorter description in the title, shows what you will hear in this quarter of an hour. There is an aggressive vocal with a cool sound from the ’80s. It is a dirty punk music directly to your face. I hope, they will soon come out with a full length material as I am sure that it will be even better than this demo.
Nobody should think that punk and hardcore is dying in our country, as increasingly more young and talented bands give voice about themselves everywhere and in more and more genres inside the punk, and the aggressive path of the ’80s are followed by not only one band in Hungary. Stop crying and start laughing bitch!!!!
