Kegyetlen körtánc a hús láncolatával játszadozva.

A This House Is Like Any Other World megint egy olyan szám, ahol két alapvető zenei világ ötvöződik, egyrészt az atmoszférikus rock és az industrial keveredése, másrészt a neo-folkos ének és zenei betétek, megint másfelé akarnak vinni. Mindenesetre talán emészthetőbb a korong dalai közül.

ENGLISH VERSION:

It wasn’t an accident that the American band’s new album was released by Hydra Head. It is nearly impossible to describe their music, it is a mix of indie and traditional rock, metal and psychedelic music and a lots of other stuffs. It waves on past’s-present’s-future’s drape, it’s atmospheric world is everywhere, the whole is rustling and floating. At the sam time there are noise and industrial parts in it except that there are overstressed drum themes. There aren’t much information of the band on the net… or I’m the lame. I only found their myspace site but there aren’t any information. I went a mucker…

Sleds is the first song which gives a view on Pyramids’ rough-looking empire. The nice, colorful streams takes us with them, the singing comes from somewhere deep and it whispers in a calming way, the voices grow into a flower on it’s dirty and on it’s clean rushes. It’s like getting back somewhere really far on a warm afternoon, in a daze we see a piece of our past, a texture from our Time. At this point the extreme and experimental things can’t be felt yet but it’s a nice intimate music…

Igloo messes up this world from it’s bases… Chaos itself rises in it, dozens of noises falls on the world, it rise from the depths of hell (the singing is from far away and in shreds, the music’s harrassness is amplified by the effects and the drum’s unfitting, fast parts), collapse, rise… I can’t tell this albums genre… You’ll need dudes that listen to some really complex shit… It is not enough to listen to it, you have to understand it!

The Echo of Something Lovely is an atmospheric one again, it starts with a slow, cathartic music then the drum comes in with some effects in the background, clacking, but enjoyable sounds, fair shades changes each other, the vocals disappear, from here the music’s desert is the lord for a time… sunset between the dunes. Their play with the effects is frightening, as the sound aggregates everything seems fine and blooming.

The next song called End Resolve is from the noisy ones. Really heavy, weird sounds begins the track, then after a fine change a doublebass/whispering/over-FX-d dimness comes in; lonely roads, abandoned cities’ view in the deaf silence. Merciless dance with the chains of flesh. Fuck*n sick vocals, heavy sound, noises in scores, and inside it, every beauty of the clean voices woven spider web.

Hellmonk is an ultraclassic psychedelic flow. Flow, I say as I write since the notes here are flowing, you can’t stand a chance against it and hold yourself, the verve will take you with itself… The sick drums are veiled by the more sicker sound. I don’t know of anything that bear a resemblance with this. In this song a lot of genres mixed together, halfly to close off the others’ misunderstooded necessity, but they’re important to make this music more emphatic. This album will not simpli be a walk for those who’ll try to understand it.

This House Is Like Any Other World is again a song where two kind of music is mixed on the one hand the atmospheric rock and the industrial music and on the other hand the neo-folk vocals and musical inlays want to take us somewhere other direction. This is a complex piece too, every note has it’s own place, it’s own meaning in turn it sounds like a meaningless noise creating. I don’t say that they will be famous because of this style but this is one of digestible songs of the disc.

Hillary attacks with a noisy guitar, sick, fast drum beats and hard effects. The industrial affectione can be felt all over the song. Monotonic, inexplicable sounds, aggregation of symbols from every direction. Catharsis close state, dirty sound, and an enormous question mark… Even I don’t know what is happening here but just like every other song this one has a structure too, but from where the other things came? The Ghost is a more digestible piece too although at first it may not sound like that but after a few listens it will become. It’s like you’re watching a fastened movie, the sequences are rolling, the scenes are torn, everythings diffuse so fast. A brutal sensuality comes from this dual effecting song which dances on loneliness’ and bliss’ blade… You have to live through this song, to wear it’s robe, wind yourself into every of it’s atoms… Emphatic, really emphatic.

In Monks the drum reminds of black metal once again, and has it’s greatest impact on the mood. This one is pretty dynamic song but it rends everything to pieces ’cause it’s so fuck*n sterile, cold, so machine-like. This is the end of the tunnel, there is no light at the end of it, there is only gruesome darkness where we will come to know the voice of everything. Well, those who loves the music of Diabolos Rising may try it with this music. The others will be driven upon the wall.

The last song is called 1.2.3. It starts like a frendlier noise EBM or industrial music, but it is a guide to some extremely dark world. There are a lot of black metal themes mixed with industrial elements, sick FX-s and noises, weird music for weird people. So I don’t what lives inside these musicians but there must be a hard fight going on. Merciless moods, crude inlays, melodic themes – all of these are there on this album. Sometimes with whispering, sometimes with powerful or morbid vocals, and all of this with a big amount of noise, effects and who knows what. I advise it only for those of high standards and for sanes!
