Itt a svéd The Haunted első válogatásalbuma, ami egyből dupla CD-re sikerült, és az Earache-nél töltött időszakot öleli fel, azaz 1998-2003-as számok kaptak helyet rajta. Nem hiszem, hogy be kéne mutatnom ezt a zenekart, de ha mégis, akkor az At The Gates, Slayer, Pantera rajongóknak erősen ajánlott! Meg persze azoknak is, akik az új albumokkal fedezték fel a bandát („The Dead Eye”, „Versus”), érdemes meghallgatni, hogy honnan indultak, a „Made Me Do It” egy alapműnek számít.
Az egyes CD az első három albumról szemezget, méghozzá ilyen arányban:
„The Haunted” (1998): „Hate Song”, „In Vein”, „Chasm”, „Undead”, „Forensick”.
Patrik Jensen /Witchery/ és Anders Björler gitárosok valamint Jonas Björler basszusgitáros képviselik az állandóságot, az első anyagon Peter Dolvingot hallhatjuk a mikrofonnál és Adrian Erlandsson-t /a Björler fivérek mellett szintén régi At The Gates-arc/ dobolni.
A második és harmadik albumokon már Marco Aro énekel és Per Möller Jensen ül a dobok mögött. Ezzel a két anyaggal megnyerték a svéd Grammy-t is zenészeink.
-„The Haunted Made Me Do It” (2000): „Dark Intentions”, „Bury Your Dead”, „Trespass”, „Hollow Ground”, „Revelation”, „Under the Surface”.
-„One Kill Wonder” (2003): klipes „D.O.A.”, „Shithead”, „Everlasting”, „Shadow World”, „One Kill Wonder”.
Tele erővel, gyors témákkal, igazi skandináv thrash! Ekkoriban még nem jellemző rájuk a dallamos ének, egy-két kivételtől eltekintve. 2003-ban aztán visszatér Dolving, de ez már egy másik történet…
A kettes CD ritkaságokat tartalmaz, pl. újrakiadásokról bónusz tételeket, élőfelvételeket, demókat, egy feldolgozást és eddig még meg nem jelent számokat (próbafelvételek a kezdeti időkből).
A Candlemass feldolgozás mindenképp kiemelkedő ezen a korongon, a három élőfelvétel már ismerős lehet a „Live Rounds In Tokyo” koncertalbumról, a demók és a próbatermi felvételek pedig érdekességnek elmennek.
Gyűjtőknek mindenképpen kötelező, valamint aki nem ismeri esetleg őket, nekik egy jó kezdőpont lehet. Én a zenét értékelem inkább, nem magát a kiadványt. Biztos lehetne másként, más számokkal, de ez általában minden válogatásalbummal így van.

Here’s the first compilation/best of duble-CD of the swedish The Haunted, and it includes the songs between 1998 and 2003, when they had a contract with Earache Records. I don’t think, I should introduce the band, but I offer it those, who like At The Gates, Pantera or Slayer’s music. And I also offer this album those, who like this band’s new albums („The Dead Eye”, „Versus”), because they should hear the previous songs like „Made Me Do It”.
There are songs from the first 3 albums in the first CD:

Patrik Jensen /Witchery/ and Anders Björler guitarists with Jonas Björler on the bass, Peter Dolving vocals and Adrian Erlandsson-t (elder At The Gates-member) on the drums.
Marco Aro is the singer and Per Möller Jensen is the drummer in the second and the third album. They won the Grammy-award with these two albums.

It’s a real norse trash band with full of energy and fast themes. They didn’t use melodic lyrical themes in their songs in that time, except a few songs. Dolvin returned to the band in 2003, but it is another story…
The second CD includes rarities eg bonus tracks, live songs, demos and rarely songs.
The Candlemass-cover is really great in this album, you can know the 3 live songs from „Live Rounds in Tokyo”, and the demos can be rarities.
You have to buy this album, if you’re a collector, or if you want to know their music. I appreciate the music, not the album. It can be other, but that’s true for every compilation/best of CD.
