A Greenstar (ének), Hoze (basszusgitár), Kain (gitár) és Ropee (dob) felállású dunaújvárosi banda 2006-ban állt össze, évek óta aktív zenészekből. A korong eredetileg egy ötszámos EP lett volna, a debütalbum, pedig a „Tame The Beast” címmel jelent volna meg, de úgy látszik, ez formálódott közben. A progresszív hatásokkal színezett thrash/death metal lemezből a vastagabb soundot hiányolom leginkább, nemigen lehet érezni a dinamikát, pedig az ilyen súlyú zenéknél ez kötelező. Mindenképp érdemes a hangzással még kísérletezni. A másik, hogy az ötletes, ütős témák mellett vannak „helykitöltő” részek, amik rontanak a számokon, ez pedig, ennyi rutin után nem épp a legmeggyőzőbb.
Az első track a Tame The Beast című instrumentális szerzemény akár intróként is felfogható. A tipikus alapokra építkező szerkezet jó, bár semmi újat nem produkál, van benne egy kis játék, ami élvezhetővé teszi.
A Crownation Damnation énektémája rendben van, bár a refrén gyenge, a hangszeres játéknál pedig a dallamos téma kicsit erőltetettnek tűnik, de nagyjából rendben van ez a tempós szám.
A Fourtyseventh Chromosome death metal a javából, földbe döngölős téma akad benne rendesen, és sajnos akad egy-egy elég suta riff is. Mondtam, a sound, a progresszív rész kissé erőtlen.
A Centaurs Are Waiting őrlős tempójú szám, rettenetesen jól szól, a hangulata egy az egyben a ’90-es évek közepét/végét idézik. A páros-páratlan ütemjáték, a sötét hangulat remek, de a tiszta szavalást én valami effekttel itt mindenképp megtolnám.
A címadó Revolution Blues finom fúvós játékkal kezd, népzenei motívumok, melankólia és egyszer csak berobban a dübörgő zene. A szám eleji szaggatott riffelés az egyik legjobb példa a vastag sound hiányára, a refrén alatti vokál pedig nyersebb, agresszívebb kiállást igényel. Jó nóta, a dallamos rész kifejezetten emel a szám hangulatán, és jobban megvillantja a fiúk progresszív játékát.
With Clear Heart – finom dobjátékkal, karcos gitárral indít, majd bejön rá József Attila „Tiszta szívvel” verse, valami eszméletlen jól elhelyezve a zene szerkezetén belül. Minden tiszteletem, bár a szóló itt talán más variánst igényelt volna.
A Chariots Of The Gods szintén egy komplex nóta, jó hangzással, egyedi ízekkel. Alakul valami a TMS konyhájában, bár van még mit csiszolni, van mivel kísérletezni. A témák itt kemények végig, feszes tempótartás, jó ritmusok.
A So Infected már „kommerszebb”, ha lehet ilyet mondani, mert egy picit thrash, egy picit death metal. Súlyos, zúzós, néhol ritmikailag megbolondított témák feszülnek itt végig. Az ének is a helyén, a refréntéma is ütős.
A Klotho a progresszív világ hangulatával nyit, és a torzított gitárok ellenére nem is durvul be annyira, ez az alapokra épített, erőteljesebb hangzást igénylő zene. Itt is a helyén lenne minden, de dinamikátlan és így nem lehet teljesen élvezni. Súly kell bele, de nagyon, mély megszólalás, valamint a dallamos éneken való dolgozás.
A Haunted By The Sun tempójában gyenge néhol, ez bizony baj. A hangszeres rész nagy része tipikus stílusalapokon nyugszik, egy-két jó ötlettől eltekintve egy átlagszám. Összességében nézve a TMS első anyaga hallgatható, élvezhető, és ajánlott; a hiányosságok nyílván ki lesznek küszöbölve a zenekar fejlődése során, mert abban biztos vagyok, hogy még hallunk felőlük. A pontszám a hangzás és a sablontémák miatt annyi, amennyi.

ENGLISH VERSION:
This band from Dunaújváros, consisting of Greenstar (vox), Hoze (bass), Kain (guitar) és Ropee (drums), was formed in 2006 with experienced musicians. The disc was originally planned to be a five-track EP, and the debut would have been titled „Tame The Beast’ but it seems it turned out to be different. I mostly miss the thicker sound from this thrash/death record spiced with progressive influence, I cannot feel the dynamics but for this kind of music it is mandatory. It’s worth experimenting with the sound by all means. The other thing is that beside the creative ideas there are some „fillers” too, which ruin the songs and this, bearing in mind their routine, is not that convincing.
The first song is Tame The Beast, an instrumental one, this can also be considered as an intro. The structure, built on a typical base, is good although brings nothing new. There is a little play in it that makes it enjoyable.
The vocal theme of Crownation Damnation is alright though the chorus is weak, and the melodic part at the instrumental play sounds a bit forced but mainly it’s okay.
Fourtyseventh Chromosome is death metal fully with pounding themes but there are some sloppy riffs, unfortunately. As I said, the sound… the progressive part is a bit weak.
Centaurs Are Waiting is a tune with grinding tempo, it sounds extremely cool, and its mood totally evokes the early/late ’90s. The rhythm play and the dark aura are excellent but at the spoken part I would have used some effect.
The title track starts with gentle brass play, there are folkish motifs here, melancholy… and suddenly the pounding music bursts in. The staccato riffing at the beginning of the song is a fine example of the lack of thick sound, and the vocal under the chorus needs a rawer, more aggressive attitude. It’s a good song, and the melodic part also raises the level higher, and makes the guys” progressive play shine through.
With Clear Heart opens with fine drumming, rawer guitars, and then comes the poem titled „Tiszta szívvel” by Attila József, it’s extremely well worked-out. Credit to them, though the solo could have been a bit different.
Chariots Of The Gods is also a complex track with good sound and unique taste. They have something in it though they should be improved and they have something to experiment. The themes are hard here, the tempo is tight and the rhythms are good.
So Infected is a bit more „commercial” if I may use this term because it’s a bit thrash, and a little bit death metal. It’s full of heavy, crushing themes with interesting rhythms. The vocal is alright and the chorus is cool, too.
Klotho opens with the mood of progressive world, and, despite the distorted guitars and the music, built on basic structure that needs a more powerful sound, doesn’t get raw. It could have been alright but, due to the lack of dynamics, it cannot be enjoyed entirely. Some heaviness should be injected here, a deep sound, and some work on the melodic vox.
Haunted By The Sun is weak regarding the tempo here and there and this is a problem. Most part of the instrumental themes is built on a typical base, save for one or two ideas this is an average track. all in all, the first material of TMS is listenable, enjoyable and recommended. The things to be desired will be presumably improved during their evolution because I’m quite sure we’ll hear about them. My rate reflects my concerns with the sound and stereotyped themes.
